About Us

The Early Days
AVI Graphics began operations in the Mid 1990s as a division of a Adrian Michigan-based company called SGA Studio, assisting local US small companies and firms in identifying vendors and providing graphic design services including hand paintings, digital prints and silk screens. The AVI got into the CAD drafting services by accident, as a favor to a sourcing client. The first customer was a high school in Ann Arbor, Michigan that required a wall mural for their visual and audio room. The second customer, in the mid 1990s, was an engineering firm that required conversion of graphic drawings to AutoCAD after the original computer files were lost. Soon thereafter an Adrian-based real estate company, hired SGA Studio to convert their archive of graphics into AutoCAD and upload them on the company’s website. It was then that it became clear that this could be a sustainable business, and we began to market our service to existing companies, including local firms and game design companies. We then merged with a small company using CAD 3D and Studio 3D Max, then owned by Yost Group and Discreet, and became AVI Graphics.

Evolution of the Company
Having developed a high degree of confidence in AVI Graphics quality and reliability, clients began to ask for red-line changes, architectural detailing and 3D models. This presented a major challenge, as it required the firm to invest in training, new software and new people. The firm went from hand drawings and paintings to CAD design and development. By the mid 90's the founder was approached by a new game design company to contract a series of 2d and 3d graphics for an early pc multi player video game. Eventually AVI Graphics was asked to assist in web design by the late 1990's.

Recent Expansion and Future Plans
In 2006, a group of private developers, including Valier Games, LLC. approached AVI Graphics and the founder to assist with game development. Shortly thereafter, in 2008, AVI Graphics formed a subsidiary company named Triad Game Studios.

Having built a reputation on quality and reliability, AVI Graphic's goal is to become a leading global provider of Graphic support services, serving small businesses and local companies. Growth will come from two sources: new, higher value-added services and additional geographies. The firm plans to grow primarily through organic means, but is also evaluating options to acquire smaller companies who can contribute to either geographic or product expansion.
